The pilot opens with a thrilling, foiled assassination at Ford's Theater. That single event will change the course of history in exciting and unforeseen ways.

LINCOLN

Male. Age 45-60. Lincoln's world is transformed into a chaotic, altered reality. Already suffering depression, Lincoln experiences a new range of emotions as he struggles to survive the danger and lead the country. Recurring.

Edward Stanton

Historical figure from the 1800s; Male, Age 40-60. Dramatic personality to match his beard. Somewhat bombastic, take-charge style. Acts slightly suspicious; his loyalties remain a mystery. Pilot only.

John Wilkes Booth

Historical figure from the 1800s; Male, Age 20-30; Handsome, athletic, charismatic, drinker, womanizer. Zealot to his cause, quick to anger. Recurring.

Mary Todd Lincoln

Historical figure from the 1800s; Female, age 40-50. Suffers a range of emotional disorders including depression, opium addiction, and overeating. Overbearing attitude toward her husband, who she loves, and others, whom she does not trust. Recurring.

SUPPORT ROLE 1

Female. Age 30-45; Flirty yet businesslike. Wears flashy era dresses. Lead actress who sees her life's work destroyed in one night, yet manages to help Lincoln escape the theater. Pilot only.

SUPPORT ROLE 5

Male. Age 25-35; Union sergeant, all business. Pilot only. Booth conspirator.

SUPPORT ROLE 2

Male. Age 20-30; Youthful doctor, resourecful, atheletic; who performs well under extreme stress. Pilot only.

SUPPORT ROLE 5

Male. Male, 25-35; Lincoln seatmate. Courageous; walks into a gunshot. Tries to protect the president but physically is not up to the task. Spends most of pilot going in and out of consciousness.

SUPPORT ROLE 4

Male. Age 18-20; African-American. Helpful, courageous; naturally shy but fights through it to help an important person in danger. Recurring.

SUPPORT ROLE 6

Female. 25-35; Lincoln seatmate. Shy and slightly overwhelmed by sitting with the president. Her emotions are put through the wringer as her fiance is shot and she must help facilitate the escape.
